Lowestoft and Yarmouth 22 / 27 Norwich UEA.
Lowestoft and Yarmouth rugby club were looking for another win at Gunton Park.
which would have been 3 wins on the trot.
But this was not to be on Saturday against Norwich UEA.
L&Y started off from where they left their last game. Strong and powerful running against UEA meant that L&Y had the upper hand and it wasn't long before Daniel Lawrence was running a straight line through UEA defence, with Joseph Brighty kicking for a further 2 points.
A penalty was awarded to UEA in which they scored 3 points.
L&Y started back from the breakdown, and with good support, the forwards were able to secure the ball for the centres and with that, Lewis fox was able to run over the try line. With a plenty kick from Joseph Brighty into the corner Lowestoft forwards where able to catch the ball from a line out and form a strong maul, with Daniel Lawrence rolling round the side of the pack to score in the corner.
UEA were younger and fitter around the park which nearly caught Lowestoft out during the 1st half. With this in mind, UEA started strong in the 2nd half with scoring in 2 minutes of starting again.
7 minutes later UEA scored again with another 2 points from their kick. Lowestoft lost their togetherness and started playing individual rugby instead of sticking to the game plan.
UEA scored again with another 2 points after being able to play out of their half due to mistakes from L&Y. Lowestoft won their scrum in the corner and with that Kylan Saunders was able to score.
Another mistake inside UEA's half from L&Y meant that UEA was able to run back and score a try in the last minute of the game and win the match.

There's a break in the league for the next 2 weekends, Our next match for the 1st team is Saturday 19th October L&Y v Southwold 2nd, Kickoff is 3 pm at Gunton Park.

Also, our next match for the 2nd team is Saturday 12th October away to Norwich Medics 2nd v L&Y 2nd kickoff 3 pm.
