L&Y too Strong for the Union

Norwich union 0 / 76 Lowestoft and Yarmouth

Lowestoft & Yarmouth fielded a strong team with a well drilled and powerful pack. With Leon Culley leading the way from the front and winning the man of the match, the forwards generated quick balls for the backs who rounded their opponents with ease. As the game progressed injuries to both sides took their toll due to the hard ground. But this didn't stop Lowestoft scoring steadily throughout the game racking up a total of 12 tries, with Alex Marshall taking 4 of the try's and Joseph Brighty adding 8 conversions and a try.
With a further 2 try's each by Taylor Anderson and Harry Norman during the match, and Daniel Lawrence, Marcus Leonard and Lewis Cook each scoring one try. Despite the strong Lowestoft side Norwich union continued to pile on the pressure and played a well attacking game and we wish them well for the season.

Our next game against UEA is on Saturday 28th September at Gunton park, Lowestoft kick off 3.00pm.

We welcomed our new scrum half to Lowestoft and Yarmouth Tom Cooper as this was his first seniors match of the season, we are very pleased to have Tom playing for L&Y.
