Fun was had by all at the Annual Minis Festival held on Sunday 13th October.

Teams from different Minis ages u7 to u12 from L&Y, Beccles, Southwold, North Walsham, Diss, Norwich and Lakenham Hewitt had a fantastic morning of rugby on Sunday at Gunton Park.

On a wet day there was some superb rugby on display with a great atmosphere of sportsmanship and enjoyment. Superb organisation by Dan Culverwell and the L&Y volunteers made the morning run smoothly and the feedback from all the teams has been excellent.

Many thanks to all those who gave up their morning to help out. Massive thanks also to Pirate Petes Adventure Park who sponsor the L&Y non-contact and Tag ages up to u9. Contact ages u10 to u12 are sponsored by long term Platinum Partners Norton Peskett Solicitors and their CEO Bob Bryant is pictured receiving a framed shirt from Club Chairman Russ Wilkinson, Club Captain Rob Ayers and Minis Chairman Dan Culverwell.

Bob said, "It was really impressive to see 350 kids playing rugby yesterday. From the tiny ones playing tag rugby to the under 12's who were demonstrating a really good understanding of the game, it was great to see.

It was also good to see that the values of rugby start at a very young age. I could see the genuine support of the parents but also the support the kids had for each other's team mates and indeed their opponents they had just tackled and helped up.

Many thanks for the framed shirt we will be hanging it in our reception."

Hundreds of photos are available to see on the L&Y Facebook page of all the teams, and they can be purchased from club photographer Alan Walker via his links.
