L&Y and Chiang Mai Cobras RFC Partnership

L&Y have entered into an exciting partnership with Chiang Mai Cobras RFC in Thailand. Phase 1 of the partnership is a club wide fundraising effort which will help provide kit, transport and accommodation so the players there have the opportunity to play in some national tournaments and get the exposure to higher level rugby they need. Phase 2 will involve L&Y hosting two players for a season which will further develop their rugby and more importantly provide them with a valuable lifetime experience. In return Cobras Rugby would like to offer L&Y playing opportunities in Thailand. Extended stays can be arranged to include playing in the August – November Rugby 11s league or during the Cobras tour season February to June. This tour season normally includes Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket plus overseas tours to Hanoi (Vietnam) and Colombo (Sri Lanka). Monthly trips are also an option and simple to facilitate with a UK passport and can be timed to join one of the tours. Thailand is also a wonderful place to tour and Cobras Rugby can help plan and facilitate a tour for all ages, genders and abilities. We hope to start collecting money for the fund raising at this coming game on Saturday. What a fantastic opportunity for all!
